Along with the upland birds and waterfowl, hundreds of whitetails make the Warne Ranch home. Our ranch, along with another 4,000 adjoining acres of leases, has one of the largest resident herds of whitetail deer in the country, and few bucks ever leave our properties during any hunting season. This results in bucks reaching the ages of 4.5 years old and older before being harvested. We have consistently produced bucks with a 150-inch average over the last 6 years, including management bucks and with a year round food plot program, every year it gets better.

Rifle hunts are spot and stalk or using blinds. Archery hunting can be done from tree stands in the shelterbelts or ground blinds at our man-made waterholes designed specifically for bow hunting. The archery season starts the last Saturday in September and runs through December and can also be combined with bird hunting. Rifle hunts start the third Saturday in November and run for 16 days. No bird hunting takes place during the rifle season. Archery tags are available over-the-counter for both residents and non-residents. Rifle tags are guaranteed for residents. Non-residents must apply for leftover tags.
